Mr.Kulkarni was always with a smile on his face. His native place was in Karnataka named "BIJAPUR". His father was the second eldest of five brothers and one sister and he was responsible person for bringing up all of them. His father was a land lord.
Mr.Kulkarni studied in a kannada medium school up to 7th standard and after that he shifted to an English medium school. His idol for education is his uncle who was the first educated person in their family. His burning desire made him excel in English. He joined M/s.OTIS ELEVATOR INDIA LIMITED, on 21 September '1970 on stipend basis as a trainee. His posting was done in Hyderabad. Impressed with his work, the job was confirmed after 2 years in the year' 1972.
Initial steps to move towards his goal:
Mr.Kulkarni family was financially very weak so he worked to become strong in that aspect. To achieve it he believed in hardwork. He strongly believes in the saying " Sleep is a cheap kind of death".
Mr.Kulkarni due to his childish features was always neglected by his superiors at OTIS. But he proved that he is efficient at his work. He was made the head of Hyderabad operations on 9th may 1974. After his father death he took over the responsibility of his family. He was a workaholic person. He worked in OTIS for 14yrs. In the year 1983 he started his own company "orien" . Mr.Kulkarni's source of inspiration was Sri.Ramakrishna's teaching. His deed capital was only goal setting, dedication and sincerity. His only investment in the company is his hardwork. He strongly believes that clear thoughts and an open mind will never create any problem. This has helped him overcome all problems.
Maintaining Human Relations
He advised his followers to be sincere while talking. Talk only about what you know and what you see. For mistake of people don't punish them, caution them. He brought all his brothers together. He wants to keep his mother happy.
Later Mr.Kulkarni had established a plant at moosapet and recruited 20 persons under him. He expressed his desire to expand his business and to improve the present standard of business.

Don't compare yourself with others. One should be satisfied with what he has. And earning is not important, saving is important.
Goal setting is important, doesn't lose your confidence if you fail, go for it again. One should be firm on the decisions we take. Your god is yourself so share happiness. Passion and dedication towards work leads to success.
